On Monday 9 March 2026, we met in the Grand Lounge at the Adelphi Hotel. Mirrors, chandeliers, figures and decorative details kept many of us indoors, while others drew the streets and buildings beyond the hotel.
The present Adelphi opened in 1914, the third hotel of that name on the site. Its grand public rooms remain a distinctive part of Liverpool’s hotel history.
