On Monday 4 August 2025, we sketched at Artefact on Roscoe Street. Some pages look across the tables at other sketchers. Others follow the shelves, clocks, framed pictures and vintage furniture, or look outside towards St Luke’s. We spread the sketchbooks out together for the throwdown.
St Luke’s Church, pictured in one of the sketchbooks, was completed in 1832. The May Blitz of 1941 gutted the building, leaving the tower and outer walls that Liverpool knows as the Bombed Out Church.
