On Monday 21 September 2026 we met at Lovelocks on Old Haymarket, Liverpool. Bicycles, lamps and the view through the café windows appear alongside studies of nearby buildings and the Queensway Tunnel monuments.
The Queensway Tunnel opened on 18 July 1934. Its entrance and architectural details are part of the everyday setting around Old Haymarket, giving a café sketching morning a connection to Liverpool’s transport history.
