On Monday 9 January 2023, Downtown Sketchers met at the Royal Court Cafe on Roe Street, Liverpool. The sketchbooks include views of Queen Square, nearby architecture and people drawing together.

The Royal Court theatre was built in 1938. Its Cafe 38 takes its name from that year and sits beside Queen Square.
