Bridewell Studios, Prescot Street

On Monday 23 March 2026, we visited Bridewell Studios on Prescot Street, toured the former police station and sketched in its yard. Gateways, brickwork, windows and the studio building appear in the drawings, with photographs of sketchbooks in progress and the final throwdown. Bridewell Studios was established in 1976 when a small group of artists rented a disused police station. The building continues to house artists and a gallery.
